Scratchin’ Records & Sketchin’ Hope

Scratchin’ Records & Sketchin’ Hope

We brought together two of our favourite entertainers last week for the MPI Toronto Awards Gala, to produce the first ever digital art and music mashup. This was an exciting night, celebrating incredibly talented event professionals and we knew that we had to bring something fresh, new and exciting for the people who have seen it all!

The idea began by taking inspiration from the evening’s theme, Inspiring Hope. We decided to ask guests, during the registration process, what that theme meant to them so that we could create a collaborative piece of art that resonated with the viewers. Our talented digital artist, Jason took the responses and turned it into a time lapsed piece of art. We then asked our good friend, DJ Lincoln Biao to record some high energy DJ clips that we could layer on top of the piece to get people pumped up. The choreography and editing was led by our Chief Huntress, Hailey O’Bright, ensuring that each video was scripted to appear live and engaging.

If you missed the awards show, you can still watch the video here. We do have to warn you that watching this video could cause you to start dancing and having fun - Now that you have been warned, please enjoy the show!

Thank you MPI Toronto Chapter for giving us the opportunity to provide this entertainment for your gala and congratulations to all the winners who took home an award last week. It was an honour to be able to entertain the best of the best in the industry.
